Sacred, Wild Feminine in Myth & Archetype: Art therapy group

  • Nelson, BC Canada (map)

A 10-week exploration for anyone who self-identifies as a woman - traversing the richly layered elements of the feminine by creatively responding to a series of female archetypes and related myths. Through the use of art therapy, ritual, and mindful embodiment we can explore how art and myth may breathe wonder, transformation, and meaning into our lives.

In a supportive group environment where all creative expression is valued, we work with a wide range of materials, including drawing, painting, mask-making, sculpture, natural materials, and textiles. Members are invited to bring other myths and archetypes that inspire them to delve into any personal symbolism and meaning-making.

The art therapy group will be held weekly, every Tuesday at 6:30 - 9:00 pm, running from October 1 - December 3, 2019. Preregistration required. Hosted at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute.
