As a creative, earth-loving soul, committed to kindness and our stewardship of the land, I have the relentless audacity to believe we can indeed make a difference in this world by infusing our workplaces and professional lives with creativity and connection with the natural world.

I’ve spent decades honing exactly why engaging with the natural world and creativity works at work, and craft tailored courses, retreats and 1:1 professional development work for professionals and organizations. Together, we can intentionally cultivate clarity, focus and connection in our professional lives to innovate decision making and increase resiliency by deepening a sense of belonging through connection and partnership with the natural world.

Experience & Training

With 15 years of senior-level experience leading consultations on environmental issues, strategic planning and policy initiatives with provincial governments and Indigenous communities, Sarah’s primary focus is to enhance organizational decision making, workplace health and two-worlds thinking by deepening professionals' connection to the natural world and the people around them.

Sarah has a Masters in public administration and an honours degree in cultural anthropology and peace studies. She is also a trained mental health professional as a climate aware, environmental arts therapist. She is a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association as well as a climate-aware therapist with the Climate Psychology Alliance

Sarah is an active artist and author of forthcoming book With Intention, With the Land: Weaving Our Path of Reconnection and Partnership With the Natural World (2023).

She identifies as a settler-ally to Indigenous peoples, and cultivates a deep, decolonized connection to her ancestral heritage from Scotland, Ireland and England. She also volunteers to support Indigenous Elders with decolonization and land-healing work.

Sarah has foundational training in, and regularly practices, mindfulness, myth, and herbalism. She lives and breathes connecting with the natural world, which includes foraging, gardening, camping, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, and biking.
